Registering to Vote

To vote in Ashland County, you must be registered to vote and meet these requirements. You must be 18 years old on or before the date of the election, a U.S. citizen, a resident of Ashland County, and must not be under adjudication of mental incompetence. Felony convictions do not affect voter eligibility.

You can register to vote using the following methods:

  • Online through the Ohio Secretary of State's website.
  • By mail using the voter registration form.
  • In person at the Ashland County Board of Elections.

The deadline to register to vote for the General Election is October 11, 2023. If you miss the deadline, you can still vote provisionally on Election Day.

  • Ashland County Board of Elections, 1068 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
  • Ashland Public Library, 211 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
  • Ashland City Hall, 501 Cottage Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.

You can also register to vote at any Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) location.

When to Register to Vote

The deadline to register to vote for the General Election is October 11, 2023. However, it is recommended that you register to vote as early as possible to avoid any problems.
