Corinthians Lose Home Match Against Goianiense in Campeonato Brasileiro Série A

Corinthians missed the chance to climb to third place in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A standings after losing 1-0 to Atlético Clube Goianiense at Neo Química Arena on Wednesday night. The result leaves Corinthians in fifth place with 27 points from 16 games, while Goianiense moves up to 11th place with 20 points from 16 games.

The only goal of the game came in the 20th minute when Pedro Raul scored from the penalty spot after Corinthians defender Gil was adjudged to have fouled Goianiense forward Vinícius.
