The United States has witnessed a substantial increase in its imports of renewable diesel during the first five months of 2024, importing 29% more than in the same period the previous year. In the first five months of 2024, the U.S. imported an average of 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) of renewable diesel, approaching the levels of traditional diesel imports. This increase reflects the rapidly growing popularity of renewable diesel as a cleaner alternative to fossil fuels.
